UL acquired Bayer plastic testing laboratory

Bill colavecchio, vice president and general manager of the company's chemical department, revealed that the acquisition will help UL further expand its services in the plastic market. UL is an independent organization that tests more than 190 million products, parts, materials and systems every year. Previously, it has cooperated with Bayer on some projects in this laboratory called Bayer thermoplastic testing center
the laboratory mainly tests polycarbonate. Colavecchio said that UL will expand the scope of this part of work to nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate and other resins. He said that UL may also purchase new injection molding equipment for the laboratory
